Today BBC NI tells us a distressing story about Elizabeth Lennox’s mother Marina, who following a hospital admission was unable to secure a care package to allow her to return home- where she desperately wanted to be.
Not only this a heartbreaking story, but it is one of many. Figures quoted by BBC NI say that currently more than 3500 people are awaiting a package of care to be discharged from hospital back to their own home.
